RES Exhibit Services, which provides in-house tradeshow exhibit design and fabrication, named a vice president of finance.
Within this role, Mitchell Starr will focus on financial planning, forecasting, insurance and operations to better maximize results to meet future business needs. RES selected Starr because of his strengths in the multi-company environment, ERP expertise, tactical understanding of cost accounting, tax planning and operations, and strategic experience and execution in financial planning and leadership.
In prior organizations Starr worked in, he belonged to Senior Leadership teams and was responsible for senior financial work for companies as small as start-ups and as large as global publicly traded entities.
Previously, Starr worked for UCB Manufacturing where he was the US Controller. He held a management consultant position working for multiple-sized entities as well as leadership roles in finance at Gleason Corporation, Bausch & Lomb, Exsel and KPMG.
Starr holds an MBA in accounting and finance and a BA in psychology from SUNY Buffalo. He is a CPA in New York.
