Marriott Brands
The first dual-pad project combining Marriott brands, Le Méridien Salt Lake City Downtown and Element Salt Lake City Downtown marked their grand opening the week of April 17, 2023. Le Méridien boasts 144 sophisticated and chic rooms and suites, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows with city views and emerald tile-adorned showers. Element Salt Lake City Downtown offers 126 sustainable and bright rooms and suites with city view floor-to-ceiling windows, fully equipped kitchenettes, and spacious spa-like bathrooms with eco-conscious amenities. With seasonal menus created by Executive Chef Jacqueline Siao, the property’s signature restaurant, Adelaide, is an urban brasserie — French and New Orleans inspired with Cajun undertones. Van Ryder is the first full-scale hotel rooftop experience in Salt Lake offering sweeping views of the city and the Wasatch mountains, with a menu featuring artisan crafted libations with cocktail cuisine.
Hyatt Regency
The 25-story Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City officially opened its doors on October 17, debuting as the first Hyatt Regency hotel in Utah and the only hotel directly adjoining the Salt Palace Convention Center. The hotel features 700 spacious guestrooms and suites, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering breathtaking views of the city skyline and surrounding mountain peaks and 60,000 square feet of event space. Four distinct dining venues on property include Contribution, an upscale street-facing lounge; The Salt Republic for breakfast, lunch or dinner; Market for a local artisanal snack on the go or Mar | Muntanya which celebrates communities in Northern Spain.
Asher Adams
Slated for opening in Fall of 2024, the new Asher Adams is an adaptive re-use of Salt Lake’s historic Union Pacific Train Depot and new construction of a 225-key Autograph Collection, by Marriott International. The Asher Adams will feature 13 historic guest suites and a new eight-story guestroom structure, multiple food and beverage outlets, 9,000 square feet of meeting and function space, and open-air gathering spaces.
Opened in February 2022, evo Hotel is a one-of-a-kind lodging experience offering the ultimate launchpad for exploring Salt Lake City. The 50-room hotel offers access to gear shops and inclusive climbing and skating facilities on site, in a 100,000 square foot historic building located within the Granary District, Salt Lake City, Utah. The hotel includes an intimate rooftop cocktail bar, penthouse patio, lounge spaces, event spaces and flexible meeting rooms.
“We welcome these new properties to our vibrant downtown with open arms,” says Visit Salt Lake President & CEO Kaitlin Eskelson. “In all, they add more than 1,000 rooms to our downtown convention district, giving us so many more options for meeting planners and groups in terms of flexibility, price and convenience.”
