San Antonio Hyatt Renovates Conference Center

Hyatt Regency San Antonio, located on the famous River Walk and directly connected to Alamo Plaza, has completed a renovation to its Hyatt Regency Conference Center. The renovation includes updates to the conference center’s décor and audio visual technology.

“We are thrilled to announce the updates to the Hyatt Regency Conference Center,” says Tania Tadevic, director of sales and marketing at Hyatt Regency San Antonio. “With these enhancements, the conference center provides the latest in technology while being located among some of San Antonio’s most historic sites such as the Alamo. As the conference center is separated from the hotel, it provides planners with the opportunity to provide a fully private and customized experience tailored to their preferences without the foot traffic of the hotel.”

The renovation to Hyatt Regency Conference Center includes the addition of 80- and 96-inch flat screen monitors to the meeting rooms. Each monitor is controlled by a iPad Pro through a wireless connection in order to provide a user-friendly experience for showcasing presentations and visual items during a meeting. The updates also include new décor, signage, lighting, and artwork as well as automatic and remote-controlled blinds.

Located across the street from the hotel, Hyatt Regency Conference Center provides 8,000 square-feet of fully customizable meeting space. The conference center consists of four meeting rooms which can be broken into seven breakout rooms, depending on the preferences and size of each group.

Complementing the conference center, Hyatt Regency San Antonio boasts an additional 32,000 square feet of on-site meeting and event space.  The hotel features distinctive venue options such as La Vista Terrace, the city’s only outdoor venue directly overlooking The Alamo.  Ideal for smaller, more intimate occasions of up to 150 people, the venue features a 2,000 square-foot deck and a full catering kitchen and outdoor grill for custom catering options.  The hotel also provides Chula Vista, a chic and stylish space that showcases floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the River Walk.

For larger gatherings, the hotel’s first two levels, the Hill Country Level and the Ballroom Level, provide 13 custom meeting spaces to fit the needs and size of any event. The hotel features two grand ballrooms, the 10,700-square-foot Regency Ballroom and the 4,264 square-foot Rio Grande Ballroom, which are both accompanied by atrium pre-function space with River Walk views.

From the moment guests walk into Hyatt Regency San Antonio’s front entrance, they are greeted with the excitement of the River Walk which can be immediately seen through spanning atrium windows, as well as a river-inspired fountain that flows through the lobby. The hotel features 630 well-appointed guestrooms which each include floor-to-ceiling windows providing panoramic views of downtown San Antonio.

Groups can enjoy several delicious on-site dining options at Hyatt Regency San Antonio including seasonal fare and delicious cocktails at the hotel’s Q Kitchen | Bar, “on-the-go” dining options at MKT Place, or enjoy a river-side meal at Mad Dogs British Pub or On the Bend Oyster Bar and Lounge.  The city’s popular Bier Garten, an open-air beer garden which is situated just outside the hotel’s doors on the walkway to Alamo Plaza, also provides a variety of German-inspired dishes paired with more than 25 beers on draft, beer paddles, and beer-infused cocktails.

Hyatt Regency San Antonio is home to DASA Spa on the Riverwalk, which features river-inspired treatments including hot stone massages and rejuvenating body wraps. Groups can also enjoy the city’s warm year-round weather at the hotel’s rooftop pool and sundeck, the highest rooftop pool in the city, as well as a 24-hour StayFit fitness center which overlooks the city and provides state-of-the-art fitness equipment. Additionally, guests have direct access to locally-owned retail stores located on the hotel’s River Walk level, which include everything from a boutique clothing and jewelry stores to a Texas-inspired gift store and even an ice cream and chocolate shop.
