In an effort to produce new revenues to fund capital upgrades for the current facility, The San Diego Convention Center Corporation has selected The Superlative Group to be its naming rights and sponsorship development consultant.
The Superlative Group is the country’s foremost expert specializing in the selling of the naming rights and corporate sponsorships to ballparks, stadiums and arenas, as well as municipally owned public assets and infrastructure projects.
Based on proposals, a comprehensive interview and presentations, the Cleveland-based firm is already familiar with the local market as they have a successful working relationship with the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (SDMTS).
“The San Diego Convention Center is truly a world-class facility and destination,” said Kyle Canter, COO, The Superlative Group. “It certainly lends itself to sponsorship and naming rights and our firm looks forward to leveraging our knowledge and experience in the market to build what should be one of the most successful convention center sponsorship programs in the country,”
Established in 1994, The Superlative Group is a privately owned corporation representing public and private sector clients in the valuation and acquisition of mutually beneficial partnerships for the past 20 years. In that time, The Superlative Group has generated more than one billion dollars in incremental revenues for clients by valuing, negotiating and delivering naming rights and corporate sponsorships to their assets.
“We are very excited to announce our partnership with The Superlative Group,” said Carol Wallace, president and CEO, San Diego Convention Center Corporation. “Their proven success with similar facilities across the country gives us great confidence that they will be able to help us achieve our goals.”
