Scotland Warmly Welcomes 2022

The VisitScotland Business Events (VSBE) team welcomes 2022 with new campaigns, programs and developments to set the stage for a successful and exciting year ahead. Scotland has long been a country anchored in rich culture, vibrant traditions, both innovative and historic cities, and sprawling countryside, and 2022 will see an accentuation of these attributes through industry developments, such as the Journey to Change campaign, Scotland’s Year of Stories, numerous hotel openings, Highland Games, and more.

VisitScotland Business Events’ Director of Marketing to the Americas, Richard Knight, looks to 2022 optimistically, as the year of reconnection:

“The VisitScotland Business Events team returned from IMEX America in November 2021 with a great sense of excitement and promise of opportunity for the next year, and we are ready to greet this demand with exciting developments. The theme of 2022, Scotland’s Year of Stories, is particularly fitting for VisitScotland Business Events as we have expertly tapped into the value of Scottish storytelling to elevate virtual events over the past two years. This year, it will be a sincere joy to watch Scottish storytelling come to life through icons, emerging voices, local legends, and tales of the natural world. We are looking forward to making connections, coming together, and meeting once again in Scotland.”

As the year progresses, VisitScotland Business Events will continue to share news and announcements and will be extending exclusive opportunities for media to connect industry partners – more to come!
