The International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM) has named Seattle Convention Center (SCC) a 2026 Venue Excellence Award recipient.
The award recognizes public assembly venues for management and operations, including safety and security, team development, professional development, operational performance, and service to the community.
SCC recognized for operations and community work
SCC said its application highlighted progress in guest experience, sustainability, financial stewardship, workforce development, and community impact.
The venue also cited 37 consecutive years of state audits with no findings, client satisfaction results, campus waste diversion, emergency preparedness, public art, community activations, and donation partnerships.

LeMaster also thanked SCC employees, service partners, clients, and community collaborators for their work.
