Sho-Link Incorporated Announces Stephan Mahoney as New Assistant City Manager in Chicago

stephan-mahoneyStephan Mahoney has accepted the position of Chicago Assistant City Manager.

Sho-Link Chicago is proud to announce the new Assistant City Manager, Stephan Mahoney.  He started in the industry in October of 2005 in Las Vegas as a timekeeper for a larger general contracting company.  He then began an apprenticeship as a Teamster and quickly became a Journeyman Teamster.  During his time in Vegas, Mahoney moved up to a lead and working foreman for several different departments.  “Working in one of the busiest cities in the world for tradeshows was by far the best place to learn” says Mahoney.  “The overall quantity of issues that we faced and solved offered a vast amount of knowledge for this business”. In October 2014, Mahoney moved back home to Chicago and became a Union carpenter.

“I am very excited about Mahoney joining our team” says Scott Ciepley, Chicago city manager.  “I have worked with him in the past, and he is very energetic while setting high goals for himself and Sho-Link.  It is a pleasure to welcome him to Sho-Link!”

As a father of a very active two year old son, Mahoney spends the better part of his time off going to parks, or playing with cars and trains at home when Chicago weather strikes.  The rest of the time he’s shooting photography, traveling or getting out on Lake Michigan in his kayak.  Mahoney has a goal of seeing all fifty states, and he’s eighty percent of the way there.
