Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau offers incentives

As part of a competitive convention market, the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau is giving out incentives and improving services to produce more conventions for Shreveport-Bossier.

Offering an array of free services, the organization has added more that will aid meeting planners in producing an outstanding conference and increase their bottom line.

Last January, the convention and tourist bureau announced its Golden Ticket promotion giving planners $1,000 to compensate meeting venue, transportation and food costs. Recently added is a volunteer assistance service to help planners facilitate their conference, serve as registrars, administer surveys and assist as needed.

Other complimentary services include: • Ditty bags that could include visitor guides, maps and promotional items • Smart cart that can be used as a mobile visitor center to help delegates get out and about • Site visits for pre-planning purposes • Event marketing can include news release distribution, email blasts, direct mail, video and other collateral • Registration assistance

“The complimentary site visit was the selling point for me,” said Helen Hernandez, CEO, North American Travel Journalist Association (NATJA). “Anyone looking to have a conference or meeting at this wonderful location can look forward to a memorable event.”
