Three nominees from more than 50 organizations looking for breakthrough event technology or new business models will compete for the Event Innovation Battlefield award on Aug. 11-13 in Atlantic City.
SISO, the largest association of for-profit tradeshow organizers, announced on June 30 that Crowd Mics, CoatChex and PRSONAS have been nominated to present at its second annual event.
Taking place as part of its annual leadership conference, the event brings together top-tier managers and young leaders who are interested in the latest innovations and best practices to manage more than 4,000 shows.
“The Event Battlefield is an important motivational hub for innovation, ideas, talent and products,” said Lew Shomer, executive director, SISO. “It gives our members the ability to see what’s on the drawing boards now that will drive our industry in the future. We can also help incubate, develop and assist in the delivery of products and services to the market.”
“The program itself is a version of ‘American Idol’ meets ‘Shark Tank’ where attendees will vote on their choice for the most innovative of the innovative for 2014,” according to David Adler, CEO, BizBash, co-chair, SISO Battlefield project.
