Sonic Foundry Inc., a trusted global leader for video creation and management solutions, partnered with QuickMobile to develop the meeting and event industry’s first Mobile App Certificate Program.
The certificate program was created for meeting professionals and enterprise teams interested in adding mobile expertise to their portfolios. Through the app, participants can access more than 30 different learning modules that cover topics, such as history and future of mobile apps, mobile app terminology, best practices for app design, delivery and deployment and the role of data and analytics.
Professionals who take advantage of the self-directed mobile learning program can earn up to 10 continuing education units (CEs) toward Certified Meeting Professional accreditation and recertification requirements.
All of the course modules are delivered by video through an integration with Sonic Foundry’s Mediasite video streaming technology. Mediasite allows QuickMobile to manage and deliver video content on demand while tracking attendee interaction with the courses, including the exact number of minutes they watched, and if they pause and come back to watch more.
“With mobile habits becoming more entrenched in our daily lives, creating a mobile app gives organizations unprecedented opportunities to retain visibility and mindshare among employees, customers and members,” said Tahira Endean, CMP, manager, event marketing, QuickMobile and one of the course content creators. “We created this certificate program to help meeting professionals become m-learning experts so they can help their organizations create apps at all their events, and Mediasite helps us create a seamless and reliable video delivery experience for them. Plus, Mediasite’s powerful analytics help track their progress through the content.”
The app was developed in partnership with Meeting Change, etouches and QuickMobile and registration for the program is available at http://goo.gl/WZvc6Q.
