Specialty Graphic Imaging Association Annual Safety Recognition Program Awards 55 Recipients

The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association has recognized 55 member companies for their safety efforts throughout 2017 as part of the association’s annual Safety Recognition Program. Companies receiving the award completed a number of actions that helped improve safety conditions in their workplaces, including attending safety webinars, creating safety committees, conducting bi-monthly safety checks and more.

The number of participating companies showed a 10 percent increase from those that were recognized for their efforts in 2016 — a trend SGIA hopes will continue.

“Safe working conditions benefit everyone at the workplace by reducing employees’ chances of injury and illness and reducing costs for employers,” says Allison Lundy (pictured right), regulatory affairs coordinator, government & business information, SGIA. “Our Safety Recognition Program helps members achieve a safer workplace through resources and guidance. We hope the increased participation levels in 2017 will also translate to this year, as we’ve seen how the program really helps our members achieve their safety goals and go above and beyond safety compliance.”
