Steelcase Event Experiences, a strategic space design partner, welcomes Lynne Roy (pictured above left) and Linda Nuss (pictured above right) to their business development/sales team.
Roy is returning to Steelcase Event Experiences as a business development and sales consultant after leaving in 2004 to pursue independent contract work of various types in the meetings and events industry. She started her career in hospitality management working for Fairmont, Hyatt and Omni Hotels. She worked in various roles at Steelcase for 13 years, her last role in Branded Events and has been in an event management role for the last 20 years helping corporations, associations and pharmaceutical clients create memorable experiences. Outside of work she is an avid cook, hiker and Pilates enthusiast. Roy lives in Colorado with her husband Ed, four children, two dogs, one gecko and the neighboring elk herds.
Nuss comes to the team after fine-tuning her industry skills as the regional manager for the German Convention Bureau. She is making the switch to the events industry after several years managing global communications and planning medical round tables and focus groups with GETINGE (formerly MAQUET) medical devices. While leading the U.S. office of the GCB, Linda spent three years promoting German suppliers in the U.S. and Canada, increasing brand awareness by educating event professionals and enabling them to experience the country first hand. The GCB is an industry leader with various studies focusing on event design—the most relevant being the Future Meeting Space study, which is partially funded by PCMA. Nuss can usually be found in the clouds on a flight to a new exciting destination, enjoying her pets and spending time at the Jersey Shore.
