“We are incredibly pleased with the turnout we had at Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition 2014 in Los Angeles,” said IAEE President and CEO David DuBois, CMP, CAE, FASAE, CTA. “The IAEE Education Committee did a fantastic job with creating a format that was experiential, creative and diverse. We’ve also received very positive feedback about the general sessions and networking events. We will be building on this feedback to create another great Expo! Expo! in Baltimore this December.”

IAEE’s annual conference kicked off on Dec. 9 with over 70 education sessions offered throughout the meeting. Keynote speaker Robert Safian, editor and managing director, Fast Company magazine, provided insight into future trends in the business market during the Expo! Expo! General Session. The CEM Class of 2014 Presentation recognized 257 graduates of the 2014 CEM Learning Program, joining more than 2,300 CEMs worldwide.

Members of the USC Trojan Marching Band led the way to the Expo! Expo! show hall at the conclusion of the General Session, which featured more than 38,000 net square feet of exhibit space and 265 exhibitors. Through IAEE’s partnership with Convention News Television (CNTV), a live stream allowed viewers to experience the show floor and interviews with key industry figures in real time.

The General Session on Dec. 10 featured Seth Mattison, founder and chief movement officer, FutureSight Labs. Mattison highlighted business practices leading the way in today’s business model as well as what to expect in the near future. More than 400 attendees helped raise $21,000 at the sixth annual Humanity Rocks: A Celebration with a Cause that evening for A Place Called Home, a charity for local youth.

The Annual Luncheon and Awards Ceremony on Dec. 11 recognized its individual award honorees as well as Platinum Circle inductees, graduates of the IAEE Robert L. Krakoff Leadership Institute, Best of Show winner from IAEE’s Art of the Show Competition, Top Public Event recipients, Helen Brett Scholarship recipients, participants of IAEE’s 20 Under 30 program and the Ultimate Winner for #BoothLove, IAEE and BizBash’s program recognizing outstanding booth/stand display.

Attendees developed connections during Expociety, the closing event for Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition 2014.

Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition 2015 will be held Dec. 1-3 in Baltimore, Md., at the Baltimore Convention Center. Approximately 75 percent of the space available for next year’s exhibition will be reserved in an online space draw on Feb. 10-11, 2015.
