With almost 30 percent year-on-year growth in exhibitor numbers and 35 percent annual growth in floor space sold, TCT Asia has further cemented itself as the home of industrial additive manufacturing in Asia.
VNU Rapid News’ close links to TCT’s global publishing and events series, which spans Asia, Europe and North America, has ensured that TCT Asia brings the right buyers and suppliers together every year at the perfectly located Shanghai New International Expo Center fairground.
In 2019 annual growth in international visitors was faster than that of domestic visitors, with over 40 percent of pre-registered visitors coming from overseas. Nearly 20 percent of visitors reported that they were attending the event specifically to buy.
“This is our fourth time as exhibitors at TCT Asia,” says Cooper Tsai, senior director of China-based Aurora 3D. “It is a very, very important event for the AM and 3D printing industry. We are here to reach the thousands of visitors that fit our target market as well as continuing our development of AM applications for industrial users.”
Unlike a number of non-specialized events in China, TCT Asia brings the ever-growing industrial AM user and supplier community together every year. The show is the perfect launchpad for both domestic companies looking for a global audience and for foreign companies looking to break the Chinese market.
“This was our first time exhibiting at TCT Asia,” explains CK Kan, regional director AP at Desktop Metal, “I feel it was a great start. TCT Asia helps overseas manufacturers to introduce products to the Chinese mainland market.”
Duncan Wood, chief executive of Rapid News Group and chairman of VNU Rapid News Ltd, comments: “We are delighted with the growth and progress of the TCT Asia event and the leading position it takes in our portfolio. Over the previous five years the event has established itself as the leading additive manufacturing and 3D printing show in China . We firmly believe that within five years TCT Asia will be the world’s most important event in the design-to-manufacturing space, incorporating all aspects of the process chain.”
The next edition of TCT Asia will take place at Shanghai New International Expo Center Feb. 19-21, 2020. Sister event TCT Shenzhen will launch at Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center Hall in Shenzhen, Oct. 15-19, 2019.
