Tectonics, the Warren, Mich.-based manufacturer of tension fabric structures, exhibits, displays and large format printing, has announced it will relocate to a new corporate headquarters at 1681 Harmon Road in Auburn Hills, Mich. The company expects to complete the process of relocating by August 1. The new location will provide a state-of-the-art facility to continue Tectonics development as an industry leading provider of innovative environments and solutions featuring large format printing, tension fabric graphics and aluminum fabrication.
Since 2014, Tectonics has grown nearly 200 percent, adding locations in Chicago and Las Vegas, along with more than tripling its manufacturing footprint in Atlanta. Additionally, Tectonics began an aggressive strategy in the fourth quarter of 2015 to transition from a regional provider primarily based in the Midwest, to a national provider with facilities and personnel located strategically across the U.S. This strategy increased its manufacturing footprint, along with added key sales personnel to its team. Most recently, Tectonics announced the addition of Brandon Laws as vice president of corporate sales and John Lindsey as senior account executive.
“We are proud of the growth we’ve been able to achieve over the last several years,” says Lee Skandalaris, Tectonics CEO. “Our team is committed to leading the industry and providing unparalleled service, quality and innovation to our customers,“ adding that “this facility will feature capabilities and technology that are unique in the industry. For the last two years, we have been developing proprietary software applications, along with researching new manufacturing technologies in an effort to build a robust platform to deliver industry changing innovation. The timing of this new facility coincides with the launch of many of these innovations. Customers visiting our new headquarters will experience an environment which provides an exceptional work environment for our employees, along with the most cutting-edge capabilities available.”
At the heart of these innovations is a proprietary software platform which integrates the entire customer experience from quoting to delivery in a single application providing real-time visibility into every facet of projects. The new software integrates everything from the customer experience, the manufacturing equipment, engineering software programs, file management, logistics vehicles and much more.
“Our proprietary software program is a game changer in the industry, not only for the capabilities it directly provides, but also the innovations it enables in our manufacturing processes,” says Skandalaris. “In July, we will be launching new manufacturing technologies that will exponentially increase our capacity, while also enabling our company to fabricate aluminum at volumes, complexity, quality and precision previously unachieved. This will allow our clients to expand the limits of their creativity, while providing a cost effective and high precision manufacturing solution to bring these designs to reality.”
The manufacturing investments will spur innovations in materials, connection types and methods enabling Tectonics fabricated products to assemble faster, improve their strength and weight, and accelerate the pace of innovation.
