Honoring unsung heroes of the event and exhibit marketing world, the Expo Group Exhibit Manager of the Year (EMY) awards launched on May 9. Nominations will be accepted through June 8, and the top exhibit managers will be feted at the TSEA-EACA Red Diamond Congress Gala in Chicago on July 11.
Demonstrating value, marketplace engagement and multi-channel initiatives are among the criteria that will be subjectively judged by an independent panel of industry notables.
“I personally am eager to hear about the accomplishments of the exhibit managers nominated,” said Ray Pekowski, president and CEO, the Expo Group. “This is a way for us to focus attention on the fascinating people who contribute so much to their organizations through effective exhibit management.”
The 2012 EMY winners in four categories based on budget will be honored with trophies at the Red Diamond Gala and receive a $500 donation to the charity or educational institution of their choice.
“The Expo Group Show Manager of the Year awards program has long honored exhibition organizers making a difference, and this new awards program is long overdue,” said Jim Wurm, executive director, Exhibitor Appointed Contractor Association. “We are thrilled to provide the forum at Red Diamond Congress for honoring the Expo Group Exhibit Manager of the Year award winners.”
