The International Center for Exhibitor and Event Marketing (The Center) announced the results of its 2011 board of director’s election. Kimberley Gishler, CEMA, will continue to serve as chair; Doreen R. Biela, CEM of McDonald’s Corporation will serve as 2011 chair-elect; and Barry Siskind, Siskind training, will serve as 2011 secretary/treasurer.
New to The Center’s board of directors is Nadine Burns, Thetford Corporation, who will serve as a director until December 2013. Noel Hoekstra, CEM of Global Management Services, Inc. and Mike Lynn, CME, CMM, CMP, CEM, CPC of L-3 Communications are continuing directors whose terms also expire in December 2013.
Continuing directors with terms expiring in December 2012 are Beate Halligan, H+A International, Inc.; Shawn Pierce, Experient; David Rich of George P. Johnson; and Warren Sellers of Sellers Expositions.
Continuing directors with terms expiring in December 2011 are: Aaron R. Bludworth, George Fern Company, representing the Exhibitor Services and Contractors Association (ESCA); David Causton, McCormick Place, representing The Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR); Bob Dallmeyer, CEM, RD International; and Yulita Osuba, CMP, Orange County Convention Center.
The Center’s board of directors is chosen for their experience and represents a broad cross-section of the exhibition and event marketing industry. Directors help build policy and procedures through a genuine and cooperative working partnership within the board to benefit all members of The Center.
The board of directors has been charged with setting the ongoing direction for the organization and building the invaluable foundation for the future of The Center. Directors concentrate on designing and creating methods and programming for education programs that truly complete the connection between exhibitors, event marketers exhibition organizers and suppliers as each target audience further expands into the global marketplace
