by Mira Duriman

From Jan. 8-11, the Las Vegas Convention Center welcomes the annual International Consumer Electronics Show. CES topics vary from advertising, entertainment and content to robotics and machine intelligence. Global industry leaders such as LG Electronics President and Chief Technology Officer Dr. I.P. Park, Consumer Technology Association President and CEO Gary Shapiro and CES Executive Vice President Karen Chupka, IBM Chairman, President and CEO Ginni Rometty, Verizon CEO Hans Vestberg, and AMD President and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Lisa Su will be presenting corporate keynotes.

According to the CES 2018 Attendance Audit Summary, both domestic and international industry attendees, exhibitor personnel, and media totaled 182,198 for the overall attendance. The Las Vegas Monorail has supplied visitors and locals the convenience of saving time and money along with avoiding hassles of traffic and congestion.

The route map for the Las Vegas Monorail runs through the MGM, Bally’s and Paris, Flamingo and Caesars Palace, Harrah’s and The Linq, Las Vegas Convention Center, Westgate, and SLS station which correspond with CES’s event locations with only a four to five interval between each destination.

Google Pay has recently updated the Las Vegas Monorail by implementing payment of fare gates by any smartphone with a Google Pay Application. Nevada residents are given the local fare of $1 for discounted tickets. Scan and Go tickets dispose the need for paper tickets, confirmation or redemption codes by simply scanning the assigned QR code to any fare gate available.

CES events are designed with small intermissions between travel, so the Las Vegas Monorail created exclusive discounts for people participating in CES 2019 with low rates for 24-hour passes to seven-day passes.
