The Meeting Pool website launches


The Meeting Pool, which provides technology news, information and comparisons for event marketers and professionals, announced the official launch of its website.

The online portal was showcased live at the TECHbar, a featured technology education and demonstration area in the Future Events Experience at meetings industry expo AIBTM in Chicago.

“This interactive portal was a vision that stemmed from a need I saw in the events industry. As I spoke at conferences, I discovered that most struggled to find a reliable source to research the myriad of technology solutions out there.  Conversely, there were some great emerging tech solutions that were not finding an industry audience easily,” explained Dahlia El Gazzar, CEO and founder, The Meeting Pool. 

Presenting agnostic, head-to-head, feature-driven comparisons of the technology solutions that event professionals invest in and leverage to produce successful events, The Meeting Pool also speaks to the need of empowering face-to-face experiences through digital innovation to inspire planners, stakeholders and attendees.

“We designed The Meeting Pool to be that central point where research occurs and then a dialogue begins, which is facilitated on the website among the event professionals reviewing, rating and discussing solutions as well as directly between the tech companies and decision makers who are looking to purchase,” added El Gazzar.

The decision engine, the core of The Meeting Pool, will consolidate event tech solutions in a categorized directory that leverages select and compare functionality.  This easy-to-navigate approach lends itself to direct comparison of feature sets across suppliers.  Further research and evaluation is generated from listing pages that highlight ratings and reviews from users and customers of the vendors.

When a decision maker is interested in further information from a technology supplier, that prospect can use The Meeting Pool to send an email, click to call or set an appointment time with vendors from a premium listing, which also serves as an online showcase for product information, press releases, video content and more.

“Planners and event marketers who are searching for the right vendor to meet the specific needs of sometimes thousands of events in a year are pressed for time and rarely have the opportunity to do an exhaustive search,” said Lawrence Coburn, CEO and co-founder, Double Dutch. “The Meeting Pool will allow us to showcase our newest features to the right audience.”

The Meeting Pool will also feature a growing repository of meetings and events industry content as well as editorials, product reviews and trend-based articles from expert editors and contributors.  The research process for new and innovative tech solutions will be complemented with practical how-to guides and tutorials, white papers and eBooks, presentations from speakers and conferences around the world, and evolving best practices with advice on planning and executing technology-fueled events.
