The Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) has announced Tony Camarillo as their new General Manager, and Keri Burns as their new Director of Sales.
“I am pleased to welcome Tony Camarillo and Keri Burns to the OCCC leadership team,” said OCCC Executive Director Mark Tester in the organization’s press release. “Their extensive leadership abilities will further the growth of the Center through positive relationships and business with our existing and future clients and partners.”
Camarillo previously served 8 years as Director of the RP Funding Center in Lakeland, Florida. He came to Florida from Chicago, where he spent over 20 years with the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority, which administers McCormick Place and Navy Pier. Camarillo is a graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Keri Burns comes from the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association (FRLA), where she served as the Central Florida Regional Director. Burns has over 15 years experience and also manages Ladies in Leadership and Community (LILAC), an organization dedicated to supporting causes related to women. She is a graduate of Liberty University, and has an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University.
The award-winning Orange County Convention Center provides approximately $3 billion in economic impact to Central Florida annually. In recent years, the Convention Center has averaged nearly 200 events, including 115 conventions and tradeshows that attract more than 1.5 million attendees to the region each year.
