A graduate from The International School of Hospitality (TISOH) has been named president of the International Special Events Society (ISES), Las Vegas Chapter.
Taking on this role is John Humphries, CSEP, who will handle various responsibilities for ISES. The association represents creative events professionals globally.
Humphries owns the local full-service event production and design company Earth Water Sky, which specializes in creative audio, video and lighting solutions for special events, conferences and tradeshows.
He graduated from TISOH with a certificate in event design and production in 2010, but he had been active with ISES since 2006. Leading up to his election as president of Las Vegas Chapter this year, Humphries served as its director at large, vice president of communications and president-elect. He also has represented the Las Vegas events industry by serving as the audio-visual and production lead for the 2013 ISES Live International Conference in Nassau, Bahamas.
