tmf dialogue marketing will work in close cooperation with Conventa, an annual B2B two-day event from Jan. 21-22, 2016 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Founded by Slovenian Convention Bureau and two meetings industry veterans, the event aims to strengthen Southeast Europe’s position in the MICE industry.
Johanna Fischer spoke about the cooperation: “We are very happy to further expand our partnership with the Slovenian Convention Bureau, which we support in marketing the destination. Conventa is a very important tradeshow for the international MICE business and a great chance for Southeast Europe to gain even more foothold in our industry. Knowing my colleagues, Miha and Gorazd, I know for sure that it is an industry event of high quality, very well organized and with great seminars and educational sessions. I’m really looking forward to attend Conventa in 2016.″
Conventa has developed strongly and has positioned itself as an important business to business event in the meetings industry. In the past seven years, 888 exhibitors from 17 countries and 1,702 hosted buyers from 45 countries have conducted 20.668 meetings at Conventa. The 8th edition in January 2016 holds a strong promise to continue on the track of success.
The event offers great opportunities as the fair brings together meeting industry providers and selected meeting planners from all over the world. Participants get the whole package: trade show, educational modules, social program, fam trips and more.
Networking is easy – the event program is filled with a variety of networking and social events. On Jan. 19, you can for example attend the “Welcome reception” held in Grand Hotel Union and on 20th January, Conventa networking dinner takes place at CD-Congress.
Conventa also offers a professional educational program. At the Conventa Academy known meeting professionals share their knowledge, expertise and experience. In the Conventa Experts Corner short presentations are held – all Conventa 2015 exhibitors are given the opportunity to present themselves and their best practice examples. Conventa also awards different prizes – the “Conventa Hall of Fame”, the “Conventa Ambassador Award” and the “Kongres Magazine Meetings Star Awards”, which recognize outstanding achievements in the field of marketing destinations, congresses, events and meeting industry service providers from South East and Central Europe.
Each year, Conventa offers a fully hosted buyer program which gives meeting planners the chance to meet with suppliers of South East Europe. More than 120 suppliers from Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Republic of Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey and parts of Austria and Italy will be present at Conventa. This year exhibitors from Azerbaijan, Russia and Greece will attend for the first time! tmf dialogue marketing will take a Hosted Buyer Group to Conventa 2016. tmf also will be present on the show floor with a stand at Conventa and Johanna Fischer will share her expert knowledge on destination content marketing: “I’m proud that I was given the opportunity to speak at Conventa and I hope that with my session I can contribute to the professionalism of the fair.” More information about her speech’s topic will follow soon.
