Tradeshow companies are among the fastest growing

Three tradeshow and exhibition companies were recently listed as some of the fastest-growing independently-owned firms in the nation by Inc. magazine. Convention Models and Talent (CMT), Convention Data Services, Exploring.com, the parent company of Brumark Total Flooring Solutions, and Skyline DFW Exhibits & Graphics were all listed among the 5000 fastest growing companies.

CMT

CMT has been named to the Inc. 5000 list three years in a row.

The Inc. 5000 list represents a comprehensive look at America’s independent-minded entrepreneurs who make significant strides in their industries. The rankings are based on the percentage growth in net sales over a three-year period.

Atlanta-based CMT has been recognized as one of the fastest 5000 multiple times in the last few years.

“We are honored to be included on the Inc. 5000 list for the third year in a row,” said Shelley Justice, CMT president and CEO. “Our unwavering commitment to the highest level of client service has allowed us to establish strong relationships that have resulted in CMT’s sustained year over year growth.”

“For more than 30 years, Inc’s list has served as evidence of the significant accomplishments of enterprises such as CMT,” said Justice. “And, more than ever, this year’s list is a testament to the creativity, resilience and tenacity of America’s top entrepreneurs. We are very excited to be a part of such a distinguished group of companies known as the Inc. 5000 fastest-growing private companies.”

Justice founded CMT in 2001 to provide the international convention and tradeshow industry with sophisticated talent and staffing. She parlayed $2,000 into an organization that serves some of the world’s largest corporations. CMT clients include AT&T, General Electric, Toyota, Sara Lee, T-Mobile and Anheuser-Busch.

Convention Data Services, one of the largest private employers on Cape Cod, has also been named to the Inc. 5000 list for the last three years.

“The leaders of the companies on this year’s Inc. 5000 have figured out how to grow their businesses during the longest recession since the Great Depression,” said Inc. president Bob LaPointe. “The 2010 Inc. 5000 showcases a particularly hardy group.”

For over two decades, Convention Data Services has been providing registration, database management, exhibitor lead retrieval services and event marketing to the tradeshow industry, serving the needs of businesses and non-profit associations.

Brumark

Exploring.com, the parent company of Brumark Total Flooring Solutions, made the list for the second consecutive year.

Exploring.com was included in Inc. 5000 magazine’s list of the fastest-growing private companies for the second consecutive year.

“We were extremely excited to make the list last year and to be recognized among this distinguished listing again is a great feeling and validates our efforts for growth,” says David Walens, president of Brumark. “We’ve had some loyal customers to support us over the years. Our appreciation goes out to them and our growing list of customers that have allowed us to excel in the industry.”

Walens believes that people make the difference when a company is included in a fastest-growing list such as the Inc. 5000.

“We also cannot go without recognizing the great team members who accommodate our customers every day from production to customer service,” says Walens. “They have played a significant role in this honor.”

Skyline DFW made its inaugural appearance on the list after posting double digit revenue growth every year since they opened in 2001. This includes a 57 percent increase between 2006 and 2009, the time period used to qualify companies for the 2010 list.

Skyline DFW’s leadership team attributes this growth to a forward thinking mentality and a real commitment to providing unmatched customer service.

Skyline

Skyline DFW made the Inc. 500 list for the first time in 2010.

“We are honored to join the ranks of the Inc. 5000,” said Jeff Meisner, president of Skyline DFW. “Even as the recession threatened budgets, we have experienced record revenues and are extremely thankful to our loyal customers and employees who have made this possible.”

American Airlines, a client of Skyline DFW, is not surprised the company made the 2010 list.

“The people at Skyline DFW make all the difference,” said Susie Williams, American Airlines spokesperson. “From coming up with how the exhibit should look to working out all the logistics, the Skyline DFW team has been great to work with every step of the way.”

Skyline DFW is now focused on making the list for the second time in 2011.

“This year is shaping up to be another record year for us,” said Jeff Meade, vice president of Skyline DFW. “And through it all, we’ll maintain the hallmark of our brand, our exceptional customer service.”
