TTS Logistics Inc. president Kelly Christy awarded San Diego Business Journal’s Women Who Mean Business award.
Kelly Christy, president, Tradeshow Transportation Specialists (TTS) Logistics, Inc., was recently named a recipient of the Women Who Mean Business award by the San Diego Business Journal. Winners were announced during a luncheon on Nov. 17, 2011 at the Town and Country Resort in Mission Valley, Calif. Christy was one of 40 women who were recognized for outstanding achievements and contributions to the community and companies in San Diego.
“I feel incredibly honored to have received this award,” said Christy. “It was truly inspirational to be among such an outstanding group of women who are dedicated to business excellence.”
Christy was recognized, among many other achievements, for establishing TTS Logistics, Inc., a San Diego-based shipping solutions provider specializing in the transportation of exhibit materials to and from tradeshows worldwide. Christy and business partner Michael Hill grew the company into a multi-million dollar corporation, and since 1998 have expanded services to include exhibit rental, exhibit design and creative services.
In addition to her professional contributions, Christy has also made charity an important part of her life. Each year, instead of exchanging Christmas gifts among employees, TTS Logistics, Inc. makes a donation to a specific cause. Last year the company adopted a family in need and provided them with food and gifts for the holidays. The company also contributes money to a program that sends care packages to the troops overseas.
TTS has also been the recipient of the Trade Show Exhibitors Association (TSEA) Exhibitors’ Choice Award for Best Transportation/Freight Company for both 2010 and 2011.
