Announced in early 2015, UFI Managing Director Paul Woodward will step down from his post following the 82nd UFI Congress, scheduled for Nov. 4-7 in Milan, Italy.
Tasked by the Executive Committee to seek a qualified successor, the “Presidential Trio” will employ leading international firm Heidrick and Struggles to guide the process.
Andrés López-Valderrama, president, UFI, praised Woodward for his contribution as managing director for the past five years.
“[Woodward] has made a significant contribution to raising our global profile, launching a number of important new activities for us around the world, and I very much enjoy working with him,” López-Valderrama shared.
López-Valderrama ensured that Woodward’s departure is “on the best of terms” as he plans to spend more time with his family and to pursue personal interests.
