Urban Expositions, an Atlanta-based tradeshow and expositions company, appointed an executive vice president.
As EVP of Urban Expositions, Courtney Muller will report directly to partners and owners Doug Miller and Tim von Gal. She will assume responsibility for overseeing much of the day-to-day management of the company. Additionally, she will seek out new acquisitions, launches and partnerships for Urban Expositions.
“We are so happy to announce that Courtney has joined our team,” stated Doug Miller, president, Urban Expositions. “She is a widely recognized talent in the tradeshow industry, and she is known not only for her ability to build lasting relationships with important customers and partners, but also for her inclusive and caring management style. She is the perfect person to help us as we look forward to continued growth.”
Muller has almost 25 years’ experience in the tradeshow business and has worked on events covering a dozen industry sectors. Muller was the driving force behind many industry leading events over her career, including Global Gaming Expo, International Vision Expo East and West, and BookExpo America to name a few.
“I am so excited to work with such great teams at Urban. I am delighted to work with a company that holds customer relationships and its people in such high regard. The event business is an intimate business, and that should never be lost. Urban Expositions has built their company on this principle, and I couldn’t be happier to carry it forward,” stated Muller.
Muller will be looking for new opportunities not only in the industry sectors that she is familiar with but well beyond.
“Courtney knows what it means to be ‘personal’, and this is one of the cornerstones of our business at Urban Expositions. The future is looking very bright, and we’re excited to forge new paths with Courtney as an important part of the Urban team,” said Tim von Gal, chief operating officer, Urban Expositions.
