Visit Anaheim, the destination marketing organization (DMO) for the city of Anaheim and Garden Grove, welcomes three new professionals to the organization’s marketing and sales teams.
The new additions to the newly-branded DMO contribute expertise and experience that will continue to advance Visit Anaheim as a leading leisure and meeting destination.

Kimberly Mladenik, Director of Convention Sales, Mid-Atlantic Region
Kimberly Mladenik joins the sales team as the director of convention sales, mid-Atlantic region and is charged with attracting major conventions to Anaheim and positioning the city as a premier destination to meetings professionals in Virginia and Maryland. With a successful career in hotel sales and most recently, nine years with Team San Jose, Kimberly spent six years developing the Western region, and the past three years as director of national Accounts in the mid-Atlantic region. Kimberly holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology and is a member of industry associations including Meetings Professional International (MPI), Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) and American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).
Gabe Medeiros, Social Media Specialist, Communications
Joining the communications team from Ogilvy Public Relations, Gabe brings a wealth of PR and social media experience, having worked with an array of travel & tourism, retail, automotive and consumer product goods brands. Gabe began his career serving in the United States Marine Corps and is a decorated Sergeant earning seven medals while serving two tours overseas in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
Ryan Alsup, Manager, Tourism Development
Ryan Alsup will be managing tourism efforts for domestic, Mexico and Australian consumer/travel trade markets. Most recently, Ryan served as the sales manager at the Red Lion Hotel in Anaheim, overseeing the tour and travel group market. Previously, he worked as the outside sales representative for Catalina Express, promoting Catalina Island through sales and marketing platforms targeted at consumers, in addition to tour and travel professionals.
