What’s new in flooring

New products are constantly springing up in the tradeshow industry. The most constantly updated of those products is flooring and flooring options for exhibits. From rollable bamboo floors to LED-light display floors, the ground of the exhibit space has essentially become a fifth wall.

David Stern, founder
The Inside Track

Our CPT (Custom Printed Textured) Flooring is a 10-foot wide rollable vinyl floor that is available in diamond plate, coin and a leather texture. The ability to reverse print custom graphics underneath the durable, clear surface made this product a huge hit at EXHIBITOR. Our CPT flooring allows designers to have their overall booth concept correlate directly with the flooring for a completely branded look.

Prior to the development of this product, a designer or project manager would have had to locate an alternative type of flooring that “looked” like the image they proposed such as a sidewalk, road or specific wood treatment. Now, exhibit designers can get exactly what they envisioned for their client.

The D.E.McNabb Company, being a large flooring retailer, really helps with getting our hands on new products. As soon as something new comes out, we hear about it, see it, and try to use the applicable styles with the clients that we are working with. We have several reps that bring in the latest and greatest in flooring on a daily basis. We have been seeing new trends in all types of flooring including carpet, vinyl, rubber, laminate and hardwood. These materials are all being manufactured with new cutting edge designs in a more eco-friendly process.

Our company is constantly researching better high-performance floor options and more stylized patterns for exhibit and display floors. Plus, we have entered the sprung floor modular panel market for exhibitors offering 2 foot by 2 foot and 2 foot by 4 foot panels that interlock. We are also developing a high-end ultra light panel at this time.

Superior-Loc Ceramic Tile is a real floating ceramic tile that installs quickly by clicking together. The built-in plastic trays are lined with a rubber bottom for a noise-free walk. To complete the installation, just add a water-based grout that is easily removed upon dismantle. Pack away in storage, and use many more times.
