World of Video & Audio, an event technology and production company in Southern California, has announced the acquisition of The Lighter Side, Los Angeles-based event lighting and production company founded in 2005. WOVA has been in the event production and equipment rental business for 30 years, primarily supplying audio, video, staging, mobile technology, and lighting services. The Lighter Side has been a producer of special event lighting throughout the Southern California region for 11 years.
“The fusing of WOVA’s event production capabilities with The Lighter Side’s lighting production capabilities will elevate events to the next level and offer a total event solution for our clients,” said Benjamin Parnassi, WOVA president & CEO. Both companies will retain their brand identities, Jonathan Wolper, CEO of The Lighter Side said, but will each have an expanded assets in the lighting and event production industry thanks to shared resources.
