Expanding the personal and professional networks as well as learning through peer collaboration is the aim of the Young Leaders Forum scheduled during the August AIBTM event in Chicago.
Officials for the Society for Incentive Travel Executives (SITE) and AIBTM, the Americas Incentive, Business Travel and Meetings Exhibition, have combined forces to deliver a half-day seminar entitled, ‘Win That Bid,’ exclusively for the SITE Young Leaders forum.
“The program has been designed to help our future generation of leaders to focus on and think through elements of an incentive travel program and bid process,” said Christie Pruyn, director of operations, SITE. “We want to provide a platform for young leaders to spend an interactive afternoon with like-minded professionals and share creative thought processes, which will help each of them develop in their respective roles.”
The session will provide a real-world setting for attendees to expand their personal and professional networks, gain knowledge from peer collaboration and benefit from one-on-one interaction with industry leaders. It is scheduled for June 11 from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 in conference room W193A.
During the half-day workshop, SITE Young Leaders will be placed in teams to try to win the bid on a case-study incentive program request for proposal. After creating a company brand image, teams will work through the elements of an incentive travel program and bid process with the support of an industry mentor. Participants will get the chance to present their case-study bid and receive professional feedback from an esteemed panel of industry judges, including Scott Graf, president, BCD Meetings & Incentives; Bich-Lien Kaldahl, manager, Meeting, Incentive, Convention & Exhibition, United Airlines ;and Rhea Stagner, vice president of supplier relations, sourcing and proposal development, Maritz Travel.
Members of SITE who are interested in joining this session at AIBTM should email site@siteglobal.com to confirm their space. SITE members also will gain additional SITE Education Clock Hours for their participation.
