2013 WEC attendees spend last conference day lending a helping hand

On July 23, the final day of MPI’s 2013 World Education Congress (WEC) in Las Vegas, hundreds of meeting and event industry professionals will take a break during the educational conference to assemble up to 500 prosthetic hands for landmine survivors and amputees.

Meeting Professionals International, a global meeting and event industry association, invited all WEC attendees to participate in this team-building event. The hands built by WEC attendees will later be distributed to amputees in one of 67 developing countries.

A training solutions company, Odyssey Teams’ Helping Hands program allows participants to explore their strengths and leverage limitations while collaborating to build an actual prosthetic hand.
