Projecting a 40 percent increase in the number of digital health exhibits are what show officials with the 2014 International CES in Las Vegas have forecasted.
The upcoming show, set for Jan. 7-10, 2014, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, expects to highlight what show officials call “breakthroughs in telemedicine, robotics and more.”
CES staff have partnered with health conference producer Living in Digital Times (LIDT) to feature a new Digital Health Summit, a market-specific TechZone, which will feature more than 65 exhibits focused on technology, health and wellness.
Karen Chupka, senior VP, CES, said through advancements in technology, consumers have unprecedented opportunities to monitor their health.
“The 2014 CES is the natural platform to see the intersection of technology and wellness. We can’t wait to experience the innovations at the Digital Health Summit that will help reinvent the healthcare industry,” said Chupka.
Summit exhibitors include Omron Healthcare, UnitedHealthcare and others.
In addition, a two-day LIDT-sponsored conference plans to highlight tech-centered games that reinforce healthy behaviors and will feature various topics of discussion, ranging from “The Radical Hospital” to “How Digital Health Saved my Life.”
An awards ceremony recognizing achievements in health and wellness technology innovation is also planned.
