3D Exhibits, an award-winning exhibit design, build and management agency, has named Chris Kappes its new senior vice president of strategic alliances. In this newly created position, Kappes will help 3D grow through existing and organic business development, staff mentoring and development of strategic initiatives for national accounts.
“Chris has been a superstar in our industry for a long time,” said Gene Faut, president of 3D Exhibits. “He understands how important it is that companies evolve their methods and capabilities on an ongoing basis—and (he) knows how to make it happen.”
Kappes’ three-decade career has been marked by his ability to drive growth for clients and employers by delivering innovation and excellence. He selected 3D Exhibits because the company shares his philosophy.

Most recently Kappes was president of Matrex Exhibits in Chicago. He has also served as a senior sales and marketing executive with George P. Johnson, Sparks, Contempo Design and Kitzing, Inc.
