Hargrove Inc., a creator of world-class experiential environments, leaders Tim McGill and Carla Hargrove-McGill sadly shared a statement about the passing of company Founder Earl C. Hargrove, Jr.:
“It is with a very heavy heart that we share the news that Earl C. Hargrove, Jr., an icon of the events industry, passed away peacefully early this morning surrounded by his family. He was 86 years old.
A very proud Marine Corps veteran, he began his career as a window dresser for stores in Washington, DC at the end of World War II. He was an industry pioneer, able to foresee a future industry few others could imagine, creating a company that he considered family. His larger-than-life personality will be missed, but his legacy will remain with us all forever.
We are very proud of our father and the company he created. We will honor that legacy by continuing to do what he loved to do: providing our clients and friends with environments in which to entertain and tell their stories. As was stated in his memoirs, his personal philosophy was helping people feel great about our nation. We are dedicated to ensuring that Hargrove continues to do so for many years to come.”
