Snapshots of Northwest Convention Centers

For exhibitors and organizers looking to take their work outside of the usual places, several destinations in the Northwest United States have state-of-the-art convention centers. Although the traveling might require a little more effort, moving a tradeshow to a different and unique convention center opens up the exhibiting process to a world of new possibilities.

Salem Conference CenterSalem Conference Center – Salem, Ore.
The Salem Conference Center (SCC), located in Salem, Oregon, offers more than 30,000 square feet of meeting space. The Center, which is designed to reflect the lifestyle of Oregon’s Willamette Valley, is attached to a 193-room Grand Hotel, so attendees are never far from the comfort of their hotel.

The 30,000 square feet of meeting space can be divided into several smaller rooms. Overall, 14 different rooms can be created for conventions, banquets, tradeshows or educational sessions.

The SCC also offers on-site catering, updated technology options and facility-wide Wi-Fi. It is also a LEED and Earth Wise-certified venue.

Bell Harbor International Conference Center – Seattle, Wash.Bell Harbor
The Bell Harbor International Conference Center, located in Seattle, features 100,000 square feet of meeting and conference space. The Center, which also has a dedicated, on-site planning team, can hold up to 200 tradeshow booths and is large enough to accommodate 5 to 5,000 guests.

The largest amenity at Bell Harbor, however, is the technology. Those who book meetings at this venue will have access to an expert, on-site technology team as well as full-service presentation equipment such as built-in projection systems and videoconferencing.

Bell Harbor also provides 180-degree panoramic views of the Olympic Mountains, Mt. Rainier, Puget Sound’s Elliott Bay and the Seattle skyline.

Nampa Civic CenterNampa Civic Center – Nampa, Idaho
The Nampa Civic Center in Nampa, Idaho features flexible room configurations for any meeting. The space, which can be divided into 14 separate rooms, is large enough to accommodate up to 110 booth spaces.

Amenities at the Nampa Civic Center include an in-house pipe and drape service, as well as complimentary equipment, such as podiums and microphones.

The Brandt Auditorium inside the Nampa Civic Center, can seat up to 640 guests and is fully equipped with the latest in theatre technology. The Center also provides a full-service catering department.

Spokane Convention Center – Spokane, Wash.Spokane convention center
The Spokane Convention Center sits along the Spokane River in Washington. The Center’s campus, which is also home to a performing arts center, offers more than 160,000 square feet of exhibit space.

The large exhibit hall, completed in 2007, can provide an exact total of 164,306 square feet of tradeshow space. This exhibit hall also includes a lobby area that offers a scenic view of the Spokane River.

The facility can also provide 24 breakout rooms, including the Conference Theatre, which is capable of holding multimedia presentations for up to 270 people.

Mansfield Convention CenterMansfield Convention Center – Great Falls, Mont.
The Mansfield Convention Center, located in downtown Great Falls, Montana, offers 15,300 square feet and three foyer areas.

The large floor space can be divided into several different rooms, and pipe and drape may be used for further versatility. When left at full capacity, the exhibition hall can fit 92 8-by-10 booths.

Among the amenities at the Mansfield Convention Center are a kitchen, concession room and mezzanine area. There is also a Mansfield Center for the Performing Arts located within the vicinity. The Performing Arts center can also be rented out per room.
