Ken Dec has been named EVP, Marketing and Client Strategies of The Expo Group. Dec joins the company following leadership roles at both George P. Johnson and MC2.
“Ken’s strategy expertise and marketing experience will have a valuable and immediate impact on our clientele and on our company,” says Randy Pekowski, president and COO of The Expo Group. “His leadership will help us drive greater growth by improving how we communicate within the trade show and events space and how we strategically advise our clients.”
Dec will be focused on leading The Expo Group’s experience design and marketing teams as the company supports current and potential clients ready to rethink their attendee engagement, exhibitor service and overall face-to-face meeting strategies. Ken has worked with IBM, Citi, Reebok, Akamai, Liberty Mutual and other big brands during a career in agency leadership positions at IPG and Havas network shops and as leader of the Boston offices of experiential firms GPJ and MC2.
“The Expo Group is poised to deliver ever-better experiences to organizations needing to better connect with their communities and convert audiences to their brands,” Dec said. “I’ll be relentlessly focused on helping our teams share the great stories we have to tell about the wonderful work we do here, while assisting our clients in crafting unique, compelling and memorable events.”
