Emerald Expositions Names Eric Lisman as Executive Vice President, Corporate Development

Eric Lisman_07FebEmerald Expositions, LLC (“Emerald”), a leading U.S. trade show and events producer, today announced that Eric Lisman, an experienced and respected industry executive, will join its senior management team to head up Emerald’s M&A and corporate business development activities. Lisman will report to Phil Evans, Emerald’s CFO.

Lisman has considerable expertise in initiating and executing acquisitions in the trade show, events and media industries. For the last three years he has run his own strategic and transaction consulting firm serving the trade show, conference and media-related industries. Prior to this, Lisman’s career included roles as CEO of ENK, EVP – corporate development and general counsel at Advanstar, now part of UBM, and several legal executive positions at RELX Group. Lisman started his career as an attorney at the Boston law firm of Nutter, McClennen & Fish after graduating from Harvard Law School.

“We closed six acquisitions in 2016 and one more so far in 2017,” noted Evans. “Eric worked with us as a consultant on a number of these transactions and we have been extremely impressed with his strategic insights, commercial acumen and collaborative approach. We are delighted that he will join our senior management team, further strengthening Emerald’s M&A capacity and capabilities.”
