Reed Hongda Exhibitions Co., part of Reed Exhibitions Greater China, signed an agreement with the Shanghai Gehua Exhibition Planning Co. to acquire a 100 percent stake in the Shanghai International Auto Decoration Supplies Sourcing Fair, known as CSAE.
CSAE is the second major addition to Reed Greater China’s fast-growing list of auto
aftermarket events. Reed Hongda purchased the Zhengzhou-based China International Automotive Aftermarket Expo & China Auto Accessories Trade Fair (CIAAF) in June. CSAE, an event held every August, is Shanghai’s major auto aftermarket show. The exhibition is a robust stage on which manufacturers and suppliers showcase products for auto interiors/exteriors, customization, car care, electronics, appliances, modified cars and parts.
“We took on CSAE because the prospects for a high-performing show in the automotive aftermarket are very promising,” said Preecha S. Chen, president, Reed Exhibitions Greater China. “We look forward to transforming the show into an even more effective commercial channel by boosting the quality of visitors, enhancing the show’s content and presenting it with the professionalism and power typical of the Reed brand. Our long-term goal is to take CSAE from its current regional leadership position to one of the most important automotive trade events nationwide and across Asia.”
Established in 2003, CSAE has run 10 successful consecutive editions, the last of which took place Aug. 22 to Aug. 24 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. It featured more than 200 domestic and international exhibitors and had thousands of visitors from Asia and participants from the U.S., the Middle East and Europe.
CSAE 2013 will take place in August at the Shanghai New International Expo Center.
