HCEA deems Chicago-area Association Roundtable a success

hcealogoThe Healthcare Convention & Exhibitors Association (HCEA) hosted its first-ever Chicago-area Association Roundtable on Nov. 7. Held at every HCEA annual meeting, the discussion forum was offered for the first time as a stand-alone, one-day event and featured 27 participants from healthcare associations and medical society professionals representing a variety of different specialties.

“The HCEA Association Roundtable was an event I couldn’t afford to miss,” said Natalie Norris, exhibits manager, American Society of Clinical Oncology. “The roundtable helped provide me with engaging, insightful and relevant information to ensure we provide the most valuable exhibit hall experience for our attendees and exhibitors. Meeting on a regular basis with my peers has allowed me the opportunity to build stronger relationships with other associations who face similar challenges in today’s ever-evolving healthcare meetings industry.”

Attendees shared best practices, forged new industry connections and learned about the latest developments in the world of healthcare-convention marketing in a discussion moderated by Michelle Turenne, senior director of corporate alliances and development, American Thoracic Society. Topics explored included legal and regulatory concerns, traffic building and creative sponsorships.

HCEA is the only association solely dedicated to improving the effectiveness of all conventions, medical meetings and exhibitions for the healthcare industry. HCEA represents member organizations involved in healthcare exhibitions and conventions
