Christine Mueller, who brings extensive experience from her work with Visit Seattle as vice president of sales, has joined Visit Bainbridge as director of visitor development, a partnership between the Bainbridge Island Chamber of Commerce and the Bainbridge Island Downtown Association. Mueller will be focused on inviting visitors and locals to the island during the off-peak months of November through April.
“Chris brings a solid portfolio of experience to this position,” says Jerri Lane, executive director of BIDA. “During her career, she has served with distinction as director of group sales at the Sheraton Seattle and vice president of sales for Visit Seattle. Her dedication, experience and wide-ranging contacts in destination marketing and management will serve Bainbridge.”
“With the combined efforts of BIDA and BICC to create the Visit Bainbridge marketing program, it was essential we have an experienced spokesperson who could carry that message for us, and that person is Chris Mueller,” says Rex Oliver, president/CEO of the Bainbridge Island Chamber of Commerce.
During her tenure with Visit Seattle, Mueller promoted and sold the Seattle region as a convention and meeting destination for top tier medical associations and strategic local corporate accounts. Mueller also served as managing director of strategic account management for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, and was one of six global team members hired to launch Starwood’s Strategic Sales initiative.
