The consultancy company Global Meetings and Tourism Specialists will help lead membership recruitment and strategic partnership development efforts in support of the newly announced International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) Mexico chapter and throughout Latin America, officials for the IAEE have announced.
Owned by exhibitions and events industry veteran Eduardo Chaillo, who was inducted into the Convention Industry Hall of Leaders this year, officials from Global Meetings and Tourism Specialists will work closely with IAEE staff to develop new opportunities and assist in enhancing stronger communities of exhibitions and events industry professionals in Mexico and Latin America.
“We are thrilled Eduardo has confirmed his company will represent the IAEE in Mexico and Latin America,” said David DuBois, president, IAEE. “As a highly-respected consultant, his experience and knowledge of the industry will be extraordinarily beneficial in communicating the value IAEE brings to professionals involved in organizing exhibitions and events in Mexico and Latin America.”
Most recently, Chaillo served as executive director for the meetings industry of the Mexico Tourism Board in Washington D.C., where he was responsible for developing alliances with organizations in the meetings, conventions and exhibitions industry with Mexico. He was formerly regional director of the Mexico Tourism Board’s offices in North America headquartered in the Midwest marketing office in Chicago, overseeing marketing activities in eight offices in United States and Canada.
