IAEE Lunch Meeting Scheduled at SEMA Garage Sept. 13

The International Association of Exhibitions and Events has scheduled a lunch meeting from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Specialty Equipment Market Association’s Garage in Diamond Bar, Calif. The event is set to include  Emmy-award winning journalist Kate Delaney’s presentation on “What’s Your Wow? Clearly, Confidently & Concisely Communicate What Sets You Apart From Everyone Else.” In her talk, attendees are invited to “eliminate the doubt out of you, your business and your future. Engage quickly and kick the door open for opportunity. Clarity and confidence lead to connection in every aspect of YOUR life.”

In Delaney’s presentation, she identifies the objectives she hopes her listeners will achieve:

  • Conquer confused interactions by an introduction to prospective clients with a memorable WOW when you are at an event to network. Create the perfect pitch for a product or even yourself for a job.
  • Dominate the conversation with Kate’s two-step process in crafting a compelling story that sticks and makes you BUZZWORTHY. Callbacks for business will be the norm.
  • Specific tactics on uncovering other people’s WOW so you know if you’re a fit. This leads to more effective decisions, more productivity and more business.

Delaney (pictured right) has interviewed more than 12,000 people, including U.S. presidents, top CEOs and Hall of Fame athletes. As a woman hosting a popular sports radio talk show, she became a pioneer in broadcasting.

In addition to her popular speaking engagements around the nation, she currently hosts two nationally-syndicated radio shows each week. On NBC’s sports radio network, she hosts “The Kate Delaney Show” heard on 210 stations. She also hosts Forbes Books Radio. Traveling and speaking at top business conferences, conventions and seminars across the country to interview business professionals of all levels from CEOs and executive management to financial advisors, lawyers and entrepreneurs

The event is also set to include a “Behind the Scenes Tour” of the 15,000-sq.ft. SEMA Garage with all the tools specialty product developers could hope for and more.
