As President and CEO Douglas L. Ducate prepares to leave Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR), a provider of research on the exhibitions industry, a successor is being sought to take over his post.
“We are in a strong position moving forward, and I look forward to a seamless CEO search and transition process,” said Dennis Slater, board director and chair of the Search Committee, CEIR, and president, Association of Equipment Manufacturers.
To find Ducate’s replacement, the board of directors retained Minnesota-based SearchWide, a full-service executive search firm that specializes in C-Level, director- and management-level executive searches for companies ranging in size from Fortune 500 corporations to mid-sized public and private companies.
Ducate plans to vacate his position at CEIR by the end of the year.
“We have immeasurable appreciation for Doug’s leadership and impact on both the organization and the exhibition industry. His vast industry experience has advanced our mission and helped make CEIR what it is today,” said Slater.
An internal succession planning committee was formed by the board to identify individuals who will be considered for the CEO position. Board members and the Search Committee are taking steps to guarantee that the search is fair and transparent.
