The Inaugural EDPA Southeast Chapter Fun Run is scheduled for this Saturday, Oct. 27 at at 9:45 a.m. at Piedmont Park, 400 Park Dr. N.E., in Atlanta. All of the proceeds raised by the event are set to go towards empowering homeless children in the community. There are more than 58,000 homeless children in Georgia.
The event is organized in concert with Drawchange, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to aiding global change by supplying the world’s children with empowering art experiences. They hope to provide empowering programs that allow children to effectively visualize a better life for themselves.
Every $25 donated supports a homeless child’s attendance at the event. The child and their family are set to be transported by Drawchange staff to the event, where they are set to receive a free T-shirt and goodie bag, run for free, be able to sing and dance, receive a meal and more fun stuff. The planned entertainment includes fine artist, musicians, dancers, circus acts and more. The EDPA Southeast Chapter would also like to thank their sponsors.
