In a recent sales reorganization effort, Visit Phoenix, the city’s tourism engine, chose a director of national accounts.
The newest addition is Anna Gebert, who now handles the sales territories of Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland and Delaware.
Focusing on citywide account development, which entails 1,001-plus guestrooms on peak nights, she will work from the remote office in Washington, D.C.
Prior to starting with Visit Phoenix in May 2013, Gebert sold the benefits of Columbus, Ohio and St. Louis, Mo. as destinations to the Washington, D.C., Virginia and Maryland association markets. She also held various positions with Choose Chicago, which promotes the entire city.
