As the winter chill starts to leave the air, the security world is heating up. ISC West returns to Las Vegas just as spring takes the lead on the seasons. And blooming at the show will be the latest technologies in access control, alarms and monitoring, and video Surveillance. ISC West is where attendees will discover what’s new and what’s next in the field of security.
Billed as the United States’ largest converged security trade event, the International Security Conference & Exposition will welcome more than 28,000 security professionals from across the country. On the Venetian Expo show floor in Las Vegas, attendees will be immersed in the latest trends and technologies in the vast world of security.
The show is sponsored by the Security Industry Association (SIA), which is the premier trade association for global security solution providers. Their mission is to be a catalyst for success within the global security industry. As an advocate for the community, they champion for pro-industry policies and legislation. They set the bar for best practices, as well as provide ongoing education through their SIA Education@ISC conference sessions.

ISC West reemerges from record-breaking attendance growth from last year. An anticipated swell for this year’s gathering may even push attendance to the 30,000 mark. With the significant programming content and more than 600 exhibitors, it is easy to see why.
The show floor for 2023 has been reimagined. Featuring a modern design, it will allow attendees a more personal experience that is easy to navigate. Designated featured areas will group exhibitors into the following classifications:
Cybersecurity & Connected IoT
To no one’s surprise, this area is eagerly anticipated by attendees. Through their research, SIA identified it as the #1 Security Megatrend for 2023.
Drones & Robotics
As one of the most fascinating areas in the show, this section will be wildly popular. Focusing on how facilities can utilize drones, counter-drone tech, and robotics for public safety, expect to see the future on display. The latest Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), Unmanned Ground Robotics & Vehicles (UGVs) and counter-drone solutions will be featured on the show floor.
Emerging Tech
Innovation central is what to anticipate in this section. New companies and fresh solutions will be plentiful. As a foundational cornerstone the development of the security and public safety industry, Emerging Tech is one of the critical needs for community as a whole. Discover what is the newest in the next generation of solutions and products. These are truly must-sees, as only start-up businesses that are up to five years old will be highlighted.
Public Safety & Health
The heartbeat of the security and public safety world is about protecting the communities at large. The Public Safety & Health area will tackle the functional realities of that task. Everything from perimeter security to alarms will be on hand. Prepare for stunning advancements in tech related to gunshot and drug detection and facial recognition, as well as active shooter training.
Smart Home
Solutions for building a smarter home will be on hand here. The smart/connected home market is one of the most rapidly developing markets. Solutions for all aspects of smart home design will give attendees a first look at home innovation at their fingertips.
In addition to a robust show floor, the educational content at ISC West is teeming with insight. The announcements of their keynote speaker line-up unveiled a roster of deep dives into the professional security industry.

The Bridge series is programming devoted to content that combines leadership, business, networking and education.
Their newest feature for ISC West 2023 will be the Career Zone. This track will zero in on career growth and development for professionals looking to stand out in a job market. Practical solutions for building your personal brand, the Career Zone is a welcome new offering during the conference. It will feature workshops on LinkedIn profiles, mentor pairing, social networking, and even a headshot studio. This debut zone affords security professionals with the tools to sharpen their edge.
As always, the SIA Education@ISC West program will deliver the latest on business trends, technologies and up-to-date developments in the field. First-hand advice from experts will qualify as CE hours for many of the industry accreditation bodies.
In addition to all of the above, Exhibitor Product and Training Sessions will train attendees through live demonstrations. Sessions will be led by some of the industry’s top manufacturers, giving all an in-person glimpse at live applications.
