Cindy Moss Retirement Set for June 2026

Cindy Moss, citywide sales executive at Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB), will retire at the end of June 2026. She has spent 26 years with the organization.

A long run with ACVB

Moss helped bring major group business to Atlanta throughout her ACVB career. As part of the tradeshow sales team, she focused on the corporate market and California-based associations. In addition, she worked with groups that needed 1,000 or more rooms on peak nights.

During her tenure, Moss helped develop leads and secure group business for Atlanta hotels. As a result, her work supported the city’s meetings and hospitality sectors.

“Cindy has played a key role in our sales success for nearly three decades,” says Charlene Lopez, executive vice president and chief sales officer at ACVB. “Her ability to secure multi-year conventions for major associations and corporations has left a lasting mark on our city. We are grateful for her dedication and the expertise she brought to our team every day.”

Four decades in hospitality

Moss’s hospitality career spans 40 years. She graduated from the University of South Carolina in Columbia. Then, she began in front office management before moving into sales. Later, she served as director of sales and marketing for two downtown Atlanta hotels before joining ACVB.

During her time with ACVB, Moss worked from the organization’s Atlanta headquarters and remotely from Chicago. After her final day, she and her husband, Robert, plan to retire in North Carolina with their two French bulldogs, Wellington and Chuck. Now, the move marks a return to the South. There, they look forward to warmer weather, sunshine, and time near the beach.

Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB) serves as the official destination marketing organization for Atlanta, promoting the city as a destination for meetings, conventions, tourism, and major events. For more info, visit https://discoveratlanta.com/acvb/
