Oak View Group (OVG) has named Scott Hallgren, Certified Venue Executive (CVE), general manager of Grand River Convention Center and Five Flags Center in Dubuque, Iowa.
Hallgren began the role June 1. He most recently served as executive director of Bridge View Center in Ottumwa, Iowa.
Hallgren joins OVG Dubuque team
In his new role, Hallgren will lead OVG’s Dubuque team. He will also support convention, entertainment, and event business across the Tri-State region.
His work will focus on partnerships, guest experience, and growth for Grand River Convention Center, Five Flags Theater, and Five Flags Arena.
Matt Kalcevich, parks and recreation director for the City of Dubuque, says Hallgren brings useful experience. In addition, he says that experience will help OVG and the city welcome more people to each facility.
“We are excited to welcome Scott to the Oak View Group team,” Kalcevich says.
Hallgren says he looks forward to working with OVG, the city, and community partners.
“I’m proud to have the opportunity to join and lead our OVG Dubuque team,” Hallgren says.
Venues serve Dubuque region
Grand River Convention Center, Five Flags Theater, and Five Flags Arena serve Dubuque and the Tri-State region.
Together, the venues host conventions, meetings, weddings, sporting events, entertainment, and community events.
