RX Launches DIY CON as Hands-On Consumer Event

RX will stage the first-ever DIY CON, a hands-on event for makers, builders, creators, and home-improvement audiences, Nov. 6-8, 2026, at Fair Park in Dallas.

The immersive consumer show will include workshops, creator-led sessions, live product demos, brand activations, and community areas for do-it-yourself audiences at different skill levels. Tickets are now on sale.

New event targets DIY audience

DIY CON will offer programming for beginners, intermediate builders, and advanced DIYers. Beginner and intermediate workshops are included with admission as space allows, while advanced workshops will be available as a paid upgrade.

The show floor will include dedicated areas for tools, paint and wall treatments, home storage and organization, living spaces, and lawn, garden, and outdoor projects. Interactive areas will include The Den, a lounge and meetup area for creators and community groups; the Main Stage; a VIP area; and a beer garden for attendees 21 and older.

RX said the format is meant to give attendees a place to test tools, learn techniques, meet creators, and take part in hands-on builds rather than only watch demonstrations.

Creators and brands join launch

The DIY CON website highlights Drew and Jonathan Scott, known for Property Brothers and Celebrity IOU, as speaker spotlight guests.

Creator programming listed for the event also includes Jimmy DiResta, April Wilkerson, Fariha Nasir, Ashley Tate Basnight, Sam Raimondi, David Hopkins, and others. Sessions and workshops will focus on building confidence, design, creator brands, tools, woodworking, home projects, and hands-on creativity.

Planned exhibitors and partners include SKIL, Leviton, Rockler, Build Plans, EcoPoxy, Hammerfist, ROVR, and Wrap-It Storage. Apartment Therapy will serve as the official media partner.

Event adds to RX portfolio

The launch gives RX another consumer-facing event built around fan communities, creator content, and in-person experiences. RX also produces events including New York Comic Con, Star Wars Celebration, PAX, Florida Supercon, and BookCon.

DIY CON passes include VIP weekend, three-day, single-day, and children’s ticket options. Children five and under may enter free with a paying adult.
