Olympia Events, managed by Legends Global, has appointed Carlo Zoccali event operations director.
Zoccali brings more than 20 years of experience across events, venues, exhibitions, conferences, and sports. His background includes senior commercial and operational roles with Fully Charged Show, Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre, and Arsenal Football Club.
Zoccali joins Olympia during redevelopment
Zoccali joins as Olympia continues its £1.3 billion redevelopment, approximately $1.74 billion USD, during the venue’s 140th year. Recent openings include British Airways ARC, a 3,800-capacity music venue; restaurants and bars operated by Incipio; and Hyatt Regency London Olympia, which opened July 6.
In his new role, Zoccali will oversee Olympia Events’ operational teams across the venue’s heritage halls, the new International Convention Centre (ICC), and The Addison premium lounge.
Alex Lewis, chief operating officer of Olympia Events, says Zoccali’s experience on both the venue and organizer sides of the industry will support event delivery and client relationships.
“Carlo joins Olympia Events at a pivotal moment in our evolution,” Lewis says. “His collaborative, customer-first approach will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen long-term partnerships and support the commercial growth of our clients’ events.”
Zoccali says Olympia’s redevelopment creates an opportunity to shape how organizers and visitors use the destination.
“My focus is on building an operations team that is proactive, collaborative, and responsive,” Zoccali says.
Olympia’s redevelopment will continue in phases through 2026 and 2027. The British Airways Theatre is scheduled to open in 2027.
